FEES

Fees are set freely and agreed with the client at the first meeting. They are recorded in a fee agreement.

They depend in particular on the nature and complexity of the matter, the time spent reviewing, preparing and handling the case, and the extent of the legal research required.

A retainer is generally requested before work begins.

Fees may take several forms:

 Hourly rate

Generally used for complex or unpredictable proceedings, it is calculated by multiplying the number of hours actually spent on your case by the agreed hourly rate.

 Flat fee

Generally used for predictable proceedings where the time required can be estimated in advance, it is a fixed fee for the entire procedure.

Success fee

This is an additional fee, on top of a flat or hourly fee, payable if the desired outcome is achieved.

The lawyer’s fees do not include costs and expenses (court costs, bailiff fees, travel and accommodation where required, etc.).

The Firm also devotes part of its practice to pro bono work for associations and for people in particular need.
