DUTY OF VIGILANCE

& CSR

(CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY)

The Firm is one of the first to have become involved in litigation related to the French law on parent companies’ duty of vigilance. As such, the firm handles litigation to mitigate the negative impact of multinational corporations on the environment and human rights (e.g., deforestation, property rights and access to land, combating forced labor, and personal data protection), and to hold them accountable in cases of serious violations.

The firm defends the interests of its clients—including, in particular, French and foreign organizations, individuals, and affected communities—in both litigation and out-of-court proceedings, and advises them on how to defend their rights or initiate strategic litigation.

02

GENERAL CRIMINAL LAW

The Firm assists its clients, whether suspects or victims, at every stage of criminal proceedings, for both lesser offences and serious crimes. The aim is to provide a defence tailored to the needs of each case that respects the fundamental rights of all parties before the criminal courts.

03

BUSINESS CRIMINAL LAW

The Firm also acts for victims and suspects in cases involving economic and financial offences.

04

INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL LAW

The Firm has extensive experience in international criminal law, having acted in several universal jurisdiction cases and in cases before regional courts.

The Firm assists its clients, whether individuals or legal entities, at every stage of proceedings concerning international crimes (crimes against humanity, genocide, war crimes, torture, enforced disappearance) before national courts (universal jurisdiction) and international courts.

05

INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION OF

HUMAN RIGHTS

Drawing on recognised experience in human rights protection, the Firm offers its clients various forms of support.

The Firm can represent victims of human rights violations before United Nations bodies, such as the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention and the other special procedures of the Human Rights Council, as well as before all other international and regional institutions.

The Firm can also help gather evidence and testimony on all kinds of abuse, including mass crimes, with a view to legal action or advocacy.

ETHICAL ADVICE FOR FOREIGN ENTREPRENEURS AND INVESTORS

In some countries, particularly in the European Union and the United States, the law is evolving rapidly and requiring businesses to strengthen their international obligations, both in combating economic offences and in protecting the environment and respecting the human rights of local populations.

These new rules reflect changes in our societies and demand great ethical rigour from any modern company seeking to expand internationally, particularly in Africa. The stakes are all the higher in countries where the business climate is volatile.

Deliberately kept small to offer clients personalised, day-to-day support, the Firm advises them on meeting these new challenges.

SUPPORT FOR WHISTLEBLOWERS &

SETTING UP INTERNAL WHISTLEBLOWING SYSTEMS

Director of the Platform to Protect Whistleblowers in Africa (PPLAAF) until October 2025 and co-founder of Climate Whistleblowers, Henri Thulliez has a particular interest in defending whistleblowers.

The Firm helps whistleblowers develop highly effective strategies, from advice through to disclosure, while ensuring their legal protection.

The Firm also assists companies subject to the 2022 law to improve the protection of whistleblowers (or to the 2019 EU Directive) in setting up a reliable system for receiving and handling reports. The aim is to help the organisation embed a culture of integrity and transparency by building a climate of trust and mediation with potential whistleblowers.
